A New Blog on Experimental Political Science

Hello Everyone!

My name is Nicholas P. Nicoletti and I am a student of Political Science. I am a fourth year Ph.D. student at the University at Buffalo (SUNY). Visit my website for more information.

A few weeks ago I began putting together some application materials as I am getting ready to go on the job market in the near future. Around the same time I began preparing an experimental test to evaluate the theoretical predictions of the formal theory from which my dissertation is based. In preparation for my experiment, I am currently reading Experimental Political Science and the Study of Causality by Morton and Williams (which is turning out to be a great book, which integrates both the current state of experimental political science with a guide for those interested in adding to the literature with experiments). As I was juxtaposing my dissertation research with my application materials, I had an idea to begin this blog based on experimental political science.

This blog is hopefully going to be the product of both my take on current experimental research in political science and discussions of my research and potential contributions to the field. Of course, I also plan to write about political science, writ large.

This blog will serve as an instrument to gather and record my own thoughts as well as an arena for dialogue with those interested enough in what I have to say to comment. Please let me know what you think!

Best Regards,
Nicholas P. Nicoletti
